About Ladybug Lane Cards

Hi, I’m Arlene.  Everyone calls me Ar.  This is the little web site for my crafting hobby.  I guess you could call it a business, too.  I go to about 20 craft shows a year in the Boston area.  Folks buy my greeting cards and other papercrafts one piece at a time… and sometimes a whole bag at a time.

I have been doing crafts all my life.  From sewing and embroidery when I was a homemaker; to nature photography in the 80s; to stenciling and stamping in the 90s; and always making soups for my neighbors and workmates.  And always making a mess!  That’s the fun part.

But my favorite part of making greeting cards is the personal reactions that people share when they are visiting my table at craft shows.  They look through the big pile of cards and laugh, or they tell me about somebody they are buying a gift for.

At a one show a customer said, “I bought cards from you last year, and I want you to know how much they have impacted our family.”  She had lost her niece to a terrible illness; but, during her niece’s long struggle, this lovely customer had been sending funny cards that made her niece laugh and smile.  She told me again how much the little cards brightened their days together.
